Ursa (Understanding Responsible Sourcing Audit)

URSA provides an independent assessment of Unilever supplier compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and additional requirements of Unilever’s Responsible Sourcing Policy. Unilever has appointed Control Union as one of its preferred audit firms to perform responsible sourcing audits.

URSA goes beyond industry-accepted protocols and assesses suppliers’ practices with respect to labor standards, health and safety, human rights, business integrity, environmental stewardship and land use rights. Passing a URSA audit is necessary to meet Unilever’s compliance requirements and climb the responsible sourcing ladder to achieve the Good Practice Benchmark. As a Unilever supplier, you must complete site registration with the USQS (Unilever Supplier Qualification System) to begin the URSA audit process. After applying for an inspection, you will be able to prepare for an on-site inspection. The audit report is based on a checklist provided to you by Unilever.
