Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are hydrophobic organic compounds containing two or more benzene rings. PAHs are found in soil, water, air, food samples and textiles. In textile products, they are absorbed through the skin and enter the body. Determination of PAH compounds found to be mutagenic, toxic and carcinogenic in textile products is carried out in our laboratory.
