Summary of Work
The Criminal Law Division of the North Dakota Attorney General's Office has an immediate opening for a full-time attorney. This position will provide legal advice to law enforcement agencies including the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Highway Patrol. This position may also provide legal guidance to the Peace Officer Standards and Training Board, State Crime Laboratory, and Gaming. This position may include responding to federal habeas corpus positions within the State of North Dakota. This position also involves participation, as a representative of the Office of Attorney General, in several statutorily required committees.
In addition to the monthly salary, this position includes fully paid health insurance for employee and family, the option to participate in employee-paid dental and vision for employee and family, participation in the state NDPERS defined contribution retirement plan as well as the option to participate in the 457 deferred compensation plan, the option to contribute to a medical spending account, and earning annual and sick leave.
Employees in this position are eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
