Clinical Manager .
The
Clinical Manager will work directly with our CEO, Physicians, Mid-level Providers, Leadership Team and business partners to create a collaborative experience, while ensuring accurate, efficient and strategic direction of the day-today clinical operations. Our
Clinical Manager is critical to the continued growth of the organization and the community we serve through execution and development of department planning, business operations, workflow management, fiscal management, people management, asset / inventory controls, regulatory compliance and project management.
We believe every patient should receive the best possible care, our practice offers an array of services specializing in general orthopedics, spine care, sports reconstruction, adult reconstruction and non-surgical treatments. We currently have eleven Orthopedic Surgeons, one Interventional Pain Management Physician, Mid-Level Providers, and a Physical Therapy team who serve patients at four locations within Volusia and Flagler counties.
What The Clinical Manager Will Do - Ensure accurate, efficient, and effective clinical operational processes are in place and round to ensure best practices are consistently being utilized by all employees
- Meet regularly with staff to identify and resolve issues and promote good communication to disseminate pertinent organizational/departmental information
- Enhance operational effectiveness by establishing business processes that are focused on efficiency, resource optimization, cost containment, safety, and high-quality patient care.
- Develop, implement and update standard operating policies and procedures, standing protocols, compliance plans, and safety manuals.
- Leverage buying power through the utilization of GPO contracts, inventory controls and maintenance of vendor relations
- Review and monitor clinical related contractual agreements on behalf of the organization, including but not limited to, medical equipment, medical supply, and support services agreements.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue streams, including needs assessment, feasibility and return on investment.
- Represent clinic and interact with regulatory agencies, insurance carriers, and other professional organizations
- Serve as Safety Officer in order to maintain compliance with governmental regulations and industry requirements, including OSHA, ADA, HIPAA, Bureau of Radiation Control, CDC, and MIPS/MACRA
- Participate in the recruitment, orientation, out-boarding and on-going performance of clinical staff members, while fostering the personal growth and development of these individuals
- Preparing and supporting the on-boarding of new physicians, leaders, and staff within the organization
Requirements Experience and Abilities: - Strong understanding of principles and practices of health care administration, business operations, fiscal/budgetary management, human resources management, asset management, revenue cycle, IT, regulatory compliance, and customer service functions.
- Strong understanding of clinical IT platforms to include: EHR, and PACs
- Possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively influence diverse groups at all levels within the organization
- Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree with a focus on business and clinical related course work, experience will be considered in lieu of education
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, preferably in Orthopedics.
- Solid understanding of all local, state, and federal regulations governing healthcare.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Products, EPM and EHR software applications, preferably Athena
- Valid Driver’s License / Clean Driving Record/ Proof of auto insurance
