This 206,878 square-foot facility, located in the Philadelphia area is Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for Clinical Supply Packaging. Catalent offers GMP secondary packaging and clinical labeling services throughout our global network. Packaging can be configured to hold a single product, or multiple products as determined by study requirements. We offer manual patient kit assembly along with semi-automated and automated wallet sealing and high-speed automated carding to meet the needs of studies of all sizes. For temperature sensitive products and those with minimal to zero allowable time out of environment, we can perform secondary packaging in refrigerated and frozen packaging rooms or over dry ice depending upon your project needs. Using our Clinicopia global labeling system with its multi-lingual label phrase library we can design single panel, booklet labels or our unique Peel-ID™ safe storage labels for your studies. Single panel and Peel-ID™ safe storage labels can be conveniently reviewed and approved online via our Fusion portal before being printed and inspected at our facilities.

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Controller. The Controller is responsible for managing the daily operations of the site general accounting team with the end goal of generating timely and accurate financial reporting, while creating a positive environment to lead and foster employee growth and development. The person in this role will establish and maintain proper accounting policies, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, coordinate internal & external audits and oversee the Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset and procure to pay process.

This is a full-time, salaried role on-site. This is on 1st shift. The core hours are Monday – Friday, 9am-3pm.

The Role:

  • Balance Sheet: Managing the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
  • Intercompany: Review the reconciliations prepared in time for close deadlines
  • Accounts Payable: Serve as the local site lead to support our shared service accounts payable model.
  • Expenses: Ensure the accurate coding and allocation of all facilities expenses and helping support expense allocations for various groups
  • Accounts Receivable: Serve as the local site lead facilitating customer billing and supporting our shared service AR model.
  • Audit: Coordinate activities for internal and external financial audits
  • SOX: Review and maintain internal control narratives and ensure that testing is completed timely
  • Tax: Supporting our internal and 3rd party tax specialist in gathering supporting data as well as ensuring that our tax is properly reflected and managed
  • Train, develop and coach staff as appropriate
  • All other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required; CPA is preferred
  • At least seven years of progressive experience in the Finance/Accounting field is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, at least three years supervisor experience or equivalent cross functional project leadership is required
  • Experience with financial system implementation & restructuring processes is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial systems and Revenue Recognition is preferred
  • Experience with financial software systems and JD Edwards is preferred
  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience
  • Individual will be required to stand and/or sit for long periods of time, occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
