Data Analyst Internship - Summer 2025 - South Florida

KEITH is seeking a Data Analyst  Intern to join us in the Summer of 2025 at our  Pompano Beach, FL office. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our growing Finance & IT team. As a Data Analyst Intern, you will support the management and optimization of our SQL databases, gaining hands-on experience with database administration, performance tuning, and ensuring the smooth operation of our data systems. This internship will provide valuable experience in database management and infrastructure that is crucial for both private and public-sector projects.

What you'll learn:

• SQL Database Administration: Assist in the management, monitoring, and optimization of SQL databases to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Database Performance Tuning: Gain experience with performance analysis and tuning to improve query response times and overall system efficiency.
• Data Backup and Recovery: Support data backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Database Security: Learn to implement and manage security measures for database systems, including user permissions, access controls, and encryption.
• SQL Query Writing: Improve your skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and reporting.
• Database Maintenance: Participate in regular database maintenance activities such as updates, patches, and system health checks.
• Collaboration with IT Team: Work alongside IT staff to integrate database solutions into various applications and business operations.
• Reporting and Documentation: Assist in generating database reports and maintaining detailed documentation for database administration procedures.
• General Administration:  Perform various administrative tasks including data entry, setting up new desks and workstations, and assisting with other day-to-day operations.

The Ideal Intern is:

• Currently pursuing a  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of  SQL and database management concepts.
• Familiarity with database administration tools and software.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and a self-starter with a desire to learn and contribute to projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Compensation:
This is a  paid internship program.
