About The Opportunity - Job Title: Digital Print Operator 2
- Pay Rate Range: $17.50-21/Hour
- Location: Shakopee, MN
- Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri 7:30AM-3:30PM with optional O/T.
- Position Type: Temp to Hire
Digital Print Operator 2 Requirements And Qualifications - Technically sound with strong knowledge of how computers, digital front ends (DFE's) and other software that is used to create and print files on a digital printing press.
- Previous experience running digital equipment such as Xerox, HP, Kodak, Cannon, or other digital print devices.
- Ability to work in fast paced environments with tight turn times and schedules.
- Strong mechanical aptitude to make basic repairs or adjustments on the equipment as needed and have a basic understanding of how the printing process works.
- Requires knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment.
- Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment.
- Typically, the adjustments performed at this level are routine and the need for such adjustments are readily apparent.
- Lifting 45lbs.
- Standing for long durations of time.
- Use hands and fingers to lift and reach.
Digital Print Operator 2 Duties And Responsibilities - Operate inkjet, laser, xerographic or offset duplicating printers.
- RIP files or review job instructions to prepare jobs for printing.
- Maintain daily print job production logs and daily delivery manifests.
- Setup, program, and release jobs from print queue.
- May adjust image position, perforations, and folds on paper.
- Monitor quality of job output for correctness and image quality.
- Order supplies such as ink, chemical solutions, blankets and rollers, paper, tabs, and other items as needed.
