Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

• Regulatory Compliance Monitoring and Reporting
• Serve as the primary hazardous waste engineer, leading efforts to reduce hazardous waste and implement recycling programs
• Performs industrial hygiene sampling and support
• Represents Stresau with regulatory agencies such as OSHA, WDNR, EPA, DoD Safety, DCSA, DHS, BATF, DOT, Dept. of Labor, and others
• Manage the facility SDS/Hazard Communication program
• Manage and perform the planning, training, inspection, reporting and recordkeeping requirements for all environmental and safety compliance programs
• Lead training efforts for EHS and EMS related activities
• Provide environmental, health, and safety leadership to the facility employees
• Lead Employee Safety Committee
• Hazard Prevention and Control
• Perform ergonomic and safety risk assessments
• Lead the identification, assessment and resolution of ergonomic issues
• Observe workers to determine proper use of prescribed safety equipment and procedures
• Train and demonstrate proper use of safety equipment
• Investigate incidents (including injuries, property damage, near misses, releases, and losses) to determine root causes and perform all incident reporting to DoD and OSHA
• Works with HR on managing all Worker's Compensation cases
• Oversee physical security of the Company including application of DoD 5100.76-M, Physical Security of Sensitive Conventional Arms, Ammunition and Explosives
• Conducts building safety audits
• Leads Process Safety Management Program at Stresau
• Reviews and updates Explosive Safety Site Plan, as needed
• All other duties assigned by the Chief Operating Officer

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational EHS Preferred
• 5+Years EHS Technical or Leadership is Required
• 2+ years Process Safety Management experience with highly hazardous chemicals and explosives is Required
• Service minded with a positive attitude towards finding solutions
• Subject matter expert in Environmental, Health, Safety & Security
• Must be US citizen or US person
