Long Meadow Ranch is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Event Services Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events hosted at our venue. The Event Services Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that each event runs smoothly, meets client expectations, and maintains the high standard of service for which Long Meadow Ranch is known.

Responsibilities
-Coordinate details of events including conferences, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, charity events, sales meetings, business meetings, employee events and brand events
-Create and update organized, detailed and precise banquet event orders according to company time standards to reflect details regarding menu and beverage selections, rental equipment, guest counts, change orders and set up/strike
-Prepare and distribute banquet event order preparation including instructions for setup to event staff and managers.
-Ensure deadlines are met for head counts, cut-off dates and deposits
-Reserve and coordinate rental equipment orders, in a way that optimizes costs
-Create, update,  and distribute layouts and seating arrangements for events and meetings
-Attend weekly departmental meetings to receive information and distribute reports
-Communicate with the execution team to provide event information and changes
-Conduct site visits for clients to plan details including menus, setup and seating and manage client correspondence
-Maintain consistent contact with the bride and groom or host throughout the planning process to include, but not limited to scheduling of menu tastings, selection of menu, final guest count requirements, contracts and general support throughout the planning process
-Conduct pre-meeting client walkthroughs to ensure accuracy of all BEO and client needs

Education, Experience and Required Skills
-Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management or closely related discipline
-At least 2 years of experience in hospitality and event management in the restaurant, resort, or hotel industry
-Excellent sales and customer service skills
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Extensive knowledge of computers including Google Apps, Microsoft Office and Triple Seat (or comparable event proposal program)
-Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
-Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with unexpected situations
-Must be able to lift, balance, and carry plates of food
-Must be able to lift cases of wine on a daily basis
-Must be able to use both hands to handle, grasp, move and control objects, tools and equipment operations
-Must be able to bend or twist body
-Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
-Must be able to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
-A valid CA driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record
-A pre-employment background check is required

Compensation and Benefits
-This is a full-time, salaried position
-The Company reasonably expects to pay in the range of $70k to $80k plus bonus for this position. Of course, this is depending on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, and business or organizational needs. This wage range may be modified in the future.
