WHO WE ARE: Grimm Brothers Brewhouse started in 2010 as one of the oldest breweries in Loveland and recently expanded to a new location at the Forge Campus. We specialize in German-inspired beers in both traditional and historical styles. Our beers are named and inspired by the famous German writers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. PAY RATE: $42,500 - $47,250 a year DOE

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our production team as a Head Production Brewer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of beer production, from recipe development and raw material selection to quality control and brewery operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality beer production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brewing Process

  • Develop and scales recipes for new and existing beers. 
  • Oversee the entire brewing process, from mashing to fermentation to packaging. 
  • Manages raw material inventory and ordering. 
  • Troubleshoots any issues that arise during the brewing process. 

Quality Control

  • Monitors beer quality throughout the brewing process. 
  • Perform sensory evaluations to ensure beers meet quality standards. 
  • Monitor quality and temperature of beer in serving tanks
  • Take daily level readings on serving tanks and monitor movement of serving beers
  • Maintains records of brewing processes and quality control data. 

Brewery Operations

  • Manages and trains brewery staff, including assistant brewers. 
  • Plan production schedule based on product movement at bar venues
  • Oversees equipment maintenance and repairs. 
  • Plan seasonal maintenance of brewing facility and weekly, monthly, quarterly cleaning schedules
  • Comply with OSHA and State Food Safety standards in facility; maintain logs on daily/weekly basis
  • Manages brewery inventory and ordering. 
  • Takes a physical inventory quarterly.

Other

  • May be involved in developing new beer styles and recipes. 
  • Represent Brewery at brewer association meetings, media events, and regional/national festivals
  • May deliver kegs to key accounts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Experience in a professional brewery or a similar production setting, with a deep understanding of brewing processes and techniques.
  • Experience in establishing and enforcing safety protocols and maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of chemical handling procedures and brewery equipment maintenance.
  • Physically capable of managing tasks requiring lifting and moving equipment or materials of up to 50 pounds.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on consistent quality and adherence to production standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively with a diverse team, while fostering a positive and productive workplace environment.
