Orbital Welder (Saugerties, NY)

The Orbital Welder is responsible for welding, cutting, and assembly of metals parts according to work order, blue-print and verbal direction. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Familiarization with orbital welding system to develop competency in order to weld metal parts according to work orders, blue print layouts and verbal instructions
• Familiarization with gas flow characteristics
• Competency with basic department functions, including but not limited to the fundamentals of orbital welding overall
• Use of inspection gauges such as micrometers
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerances
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by job detail
• Participate in training provided by seasoned employees to learn basic department functions
• Maintains awareness of workload and plans workflow accordingly
• Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
• Comply with company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety requirements.
• Follow clean room protocol
• Perform all other duties as assigned

• Willingness to train in multiple disciplines to drive company-wide cross-functionality
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend and lift up to 25 lbs.

Education, Certifications and Experience:

• High School Diploma, equivalent, or related experience required
• Previous industry experience preferred

Salary Range: $20 - $24 per hour 

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
