We are looking to hire Skilled Laborer to join our Erosion Control Division located in Urbana IA. The ideal candidates will have a basic understanding of agricultural labor, but every candidate must have a willingness to learn. Daily responsibilities for a Laborer include installing silt fence, hydro-seeding, matting, tree planting, and grading. Previous farm, agriculture, and/or landscape experience preferred but not required.
These positions are Full-time. Average work week is 40 - 50 hours per week with peak season is March through December depending on weather.

Working Conditions: Field environment
Physical surroundings: Municipal, commercial and residential construction sites. Adverse working environment. Work may be stressful due to continual interaction with others, long hours required and nature of the construction environment. Physical Effort: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this role including prolonged walking, bending, standing, stooping and reaching. Erosion Control is a Division within Absolute Group that specializes in commercial and state erosion and soil control services. The Erosion Control Division offers a wide range of agricultural construction solutions, including seeding, sodding, mulching, silt fence installation and storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) management.
