STAFF PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST – CENTRAL VALLEY DISTRICT / SERVICE DRIVEN / COLUMBIA STATE HISTORIC PARK
The reporting location for this position is Columbia State Historic Park in Columbia, CA. This position will work under the direction of the State Park Superintendent III.
The Central Valley District has an exciting assignment opportunity for a new Staff Park and Recreation Specialist at Columbia State Historic Park. This position will supervise park operations including special events, concessions management, visitor services, interpretation, facilities, and cultural and natural resources. Experience with non-profit organizations or other partnerships, administration, personnel, leadwork, and volunteers, is preferred.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.

Typical work activities involve frequent periods of bending, stooping, and lifting. Perform indoor and outdoor work often in inclement weather. May have extensive exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. May work in remote locations. May require heavy physical work including lifting, pushing, or pulling.
