Job Description We are seeking a motivated and talented individual to join us for an eight-week, summer internship within our Development department. Internships at esVolta aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities The intern should expect to be involved in tasks similar to those listed below.
- Research, identify and summarize power market dynamics that drive battery energy storage adoption across each US power market.
- Analyze power market data to determine best locations to site battery energy storage across the country.
- Analyze financial viability of energy storage projects across markets.
- Perform due diligence on investment portfolios.
- Craft detailed and informative presentations management.
Skills and Qualifications - Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, finance, economics, etc.
- An interest in the energy sector and US power markets.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel Skills/VBA.
- Effective communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work within multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS) and Python programming language is a plus.
Compensation The anticipated annual hourly rate for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate will depend on the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.
